All the seeds and plants offered at Heritage Growers are of known genetic origin, which means we know where the original stock seed used to grow the plants and seeds came from. By offering this level of seed origin information about our plants and seeds, clients can choose the most appropriate plant material for their restoration projects. We’ve seen too many people throw their money away buying native plants from big-box stores that get attacked by pests. Even if it’s a native plant, that doesn’t mean they are locally-adapted, or even grown in California.
You can rest assured that we follow the highest standards of CA Department of Food and Agriculture phytosanitary guidelines and nursery best management practices to prevent the spread of deadly pathogens on our plugs, including Phytophthora spp.
At Heritage Growers, we provide seeds and plants for large scale restoration projects. Our minimum seed order is $200 and our minimum nursery order 600 plants.
